Keep Showing Up: Why I'm Riding for Men's Mental Health Awareness

Men's mental health and suicide prevention awareness.

On July 12th, I’ll be riding 118 miles over three mountain passes with 10,800 feet of elevation gain in the Colorado Rockies. It’s called the Triple Bypass Bike Ride, and yes—it’s one of the most physically challenging rides in the country. But I’m not doing it for the glory. I’m not doing it to prove anything. I’m doing it for the men who feel like giving up.

A Sacred Ride for Men's mental Health Awareness

This isn’t just a bike ride—it’s a spiritual act. A prayer in motion. A living symbol of resilience.

I’ve partnered with Movember to raise funds and awareness for men’s mental health and suicide prevention. My goal is to raise $1,000—not for myself, but for the countless men who are suffering silently every single day. Men who wear masks of strength while quietly breaking inside. Men who believe asking for help makes them weak. Men who feel like they have nowhere to go and no one who understands.

Men of Courageous Souls

Through my work with Men of Courageous Souls and Inner Power Collective, I’ve had the honor of sitting in sacred spaces with men who are ready to do the deep inner work—men who are finally ready to speak, feel, and be seen.

We talk about grief, shame, anger, purpose, intimacy, and healing. Not as problems to fix—but as invitations to awaken. To reclaim our true selves. To remember that strength isn’t found in hiding our pain—but in showing up fully, exactly as we are.

Why “Keep Showing Up”

This has become my mantra: Keep showing up. It’s what I say to the man who feels like he’s barely holding it together. It’s what I whisper to myself when doubt creeps in. It’s what I offer to any soul who feels like they’re drowning.

Keep showing up—even if you’re scared.Keep showing up—even if you feel like a mess.Keep showing up—because presence is more powerful than perfection.

Join Me in This Mission

This ride is not about me. It’s for the men still in the shadows. It’s for the ones who need to hear: You are not broken. You are not alone. You are needed.

If this message speaks to you—whether you’re a man walking through the fire, or someone who loves one—there are a few ways you can join this mission:

We need more Men of Courageous Souls. We need more honest conversations. We need each other. And we need to keep showing up.

With love, strength, and presence,

Troy Ismir
