What Is the Soul-Reflection Journal?
Presence Golf is not about chasing a scorecard—it’s about awakening your inner world through the outer experience of golf. That’s where the Soul-Reflection Journal comes in. This simple yet powerful practice invites you to reflect on each round, not through the lens of performance, but through Soul-evolution and Self-realization. It's a tool for transformation, designed to help you grow spiritually, emotionally, and energetically through the game you love.
A Windy Day of Presence Practice
I had the opportunity to practice Presence Golf the other day at my local course. The conditions were far from ideal—25mph winds with gusts up to 40mph. Let’s just say it wasn’t a day for perfect golf, but it was the perfect day to practice Presence.
My intention for the round was to embody the Lover archetype from Carl Jung’s teachings. My goal was to commit to my Self before every shot, letting go of outcome and playing from the heart. I hit that mark about 50% of the time. And that’s okay. That’s why the Soul-Reflection Journal exists: to learn, to evolve, and to grow.
How the Soul-Reflection Journal Works
After each round, take a few quiet moments to answer these five questions:
Today I am proud of...
Example: I hung tough and played with integrity and humility.
A challenge I faced...
Example: The bunkers were brutal. On one hole, it took me four shots to get out. I felt frustrated but maintained composure and bounced back.
A moment I felt pure joy or flow...
Example: My par on the first hole. I trusted my swing and stayed grounded.
What I learned about myself today...
Example: I’m capable of amazing shots. I just need to build more consistency through awareness.
My intention for the next round...
Example: Complete awareness through the entire swing. I noticed gaps in my attention that led to poor shots.
Why It Matters
This journal isn’t just about golf. It’s about living in greater awareness and trust. When I reflected back on my windy round, I realized the score didn’t matter. What mattered was how I showed up for myself. My Soul grew. My awareness deepened. My trust expanded.
That is Presence Golf.
Not performance. Not perfection. But Presence.
